Author Guidelines

This page serves as the official source of submission information for the International Journal of Transnational Education and Governance (IJTEG). Authors are encouraged to review all requirements carefully before proceeding with online submission.

All submissions will be assessed by the editor to determine whether they fit the aims and scope of the journal. Submissions considered suitable for the journal will be sent for double-blind peer review before a final editorial decision is made. The average review period is approximately 2–4 weeks.

Required Submission Documents

• • the manuscript file; Manuscript Template / Formatting Sample
  • the completed and signed Copyright Transfer Agreement – IJTEG;
  • the completed and signed Ethical Declaration Form – IJTEG;
  • the Copykiller similarity check report; and
  • proof of bank transfer payment, if applicable.

Only submissions that include all required documents will be considered complete for editorial review. The Copyright Transfer Agreement must be signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all co-authors. The Ethical Declaration Form must be signed by all authors.

Manuscript Formatting Requirements

• Title: 12-point bold Times New Roman, centered.
• Abstract: 11-point Times New Roman, justified, 1.2-line spacing, approximately 150–200 words.
• Keywords: 4–6 keywords separated by commas.
• Body text: 11-point Times New Roman, justified alignment, 1.8-line spacing.
• Main headings: 12-point bold Times New Roman with numbering.
• Subheadings: 11-point bold Times New Roman.
• References: APA (7th ed.) style.

• Top margin: 2.5 cm
• Bottom margin: 2.0 cm
• Left margin: 3.0 cm
• Right margin: 3.0 cm
• Header: 1.5 cm
• Footer: 1.5 cm

Peer Review and Anonymity

All submissions undergo double-blind peer review. For initial submission, all identifying information must be removed from the manuscript, including author names, institutional affiliations, academic positions, acknowledgements, and any other information that may reveal the identity of the authors.

After peer review or upon acceptance/revision, authors may be asked to submit a revised version including author names, author roles, institutional affiliations, and academic positions.

Author Fees

IJTEG operates on a transparent author-fee model to support open-access publishing and peer-review management. The following fees apply:

• IATEG Membership Fee: ₩20,000 / USD 15
  Annual membership; required for all submitting authors; due at submission.

• Article Processing Charge (APC): ₩90,000 / USD 60
  Due at submission; covers peer-review management; non-refundable once review begins.

• Publication Fee: ₩200,000 / USD 150
  Due upon acceptance; covers copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, and open-access hosting.

• Publication Fee (University- or Research-funded Articles): ₩300,000 / USD 220
  Due upon acceptance; applies to articles supported by a university, research institute, or external research funding.

Waiver Policy

Authors from low- and middle-income countries may apply for a partial or full fee waiver. Waiver requests should be made at the time of submission and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. For inquiries, please contact editor@ijteg.org.

Permissions and Ethics

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any copyrighted or third-party material included in the submission. All authors listed on the manuscript must consent to authorship. Where appropriate, research involving human participants or sensitive data must have received approval from the relevant ethics committee or institutional review board in accordance with the legal and ethical requirements of the relevant country or institution.
